Privacy Policy

This document explains how Cue Q ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, discloses, stores, and protects information when you use the Cue Q mobile application (the "App"). It is intended to be global in scope and to help satisfy App Store requirements and common data protection rules (including GDPR and California privacy laws). Please read carefully.

1. What we do not collect

2. What we may collect or process

To deliver the App’s core functionality (on‑device sentiment analysis and real‑time reply suggestions) we may process the following categories of information. Most processing occurs locally on the user's device.

3. Legal bases for processing (where applicable)

Where required (e.g., EU/UK), we rely on appropriate legal bases such as user's consent for optional processing, and legitimate interests for internal diagnostics and security. For California residents, we follow CCPA/CPRA notice and rights procedures.

4. How we use information

5. Sharing & third parties

We do not share raw chat content with third parties. We may share aggregated, non‑identifying analytics with service providers. We will disclose information only when required by law (court order, valid legal process), or with explicit user consent.

6. Data storage, retention & security

Original chat text remains on your device; it is not sent to our servers for storage. Intermediate, ephemeral data used locally for generating suggestions is deleted when no longer needed (for example, when the session ends or the App is closed). Aggregated analytics, if collected, are retained for a limited period and deleted when no longer useful. We implement reasonable security controls appropriate to the data and processing context.

7. Children and minors

The App is not designed for children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). If we discover we've collected personal data from a child in breach of applicable law, we will promptly delete that data in accordance with legal requirements.

8. User rights

Residents of certain jurisdictions have legal rights concerning their personal data (access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, withdraw consent, and objection). For California residents, rights under CCPA/CPRA apply, including the right to know categories of collected data and to request deletion. To exercise rights, contact us via the address below; we will verify requests to protect user data against unauthorized access.

9. Cross‑border transfers

If any personal data (for example contact info or logs) is transferred internationally, we will ensure appropriate safeguards (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses or other lawful mechanisms) are in place to protect the data.

10. Sensitive personal information

If you provide special category or sensitive information (emotional health, sexual orientation, religious beliefs), we will process it only with explicit consent and limit its use and retention.

11. Automated decision making & AI assistance

The App uses on‑device AI to generate sentiment analysis and response suggestions. These are advisory and not professional psychological, medical, legal, or financial advice. Where local law grants special protections for decisions based solely on automated processing that produce legal or similarly significant effects, we will provide mechanisms to explain, obtain human review, or opt out as required.

12. Changes to this policy

We may modify this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in law or our services. For material changes, users will be notified via in‑App messages (or by email if you provided one) in advance when feasible. Continued use after notice constitutes acceptance.
